First prize for Typokniha
Typokniha won the competition The Most Beautiful Czech Books of the Year 2020🔗, organized annually by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Museum of Czech Literature. It won the 1st place in the category Textbooks for schools of all levels and other didactic aids.
The award ceremony took place on 8 September 2021 in Prague’s CAMP
From the comments of Zdeněk Sobota, a member of the art committee: “Since this is a didactic tool, the reader will be looking for answers to specific problems and situations. The book is therefore divided into several separate parts covering topics related to the creation of printed materials. Cross-references allow for quicker orientation and searching. In today’s digital age, when book editing is often done by many people who have acquired a computer and a graphic design program and do not have a classical typographic background, this book, which reminds us of the basic principles of print design, has an irreplaceable place.”
